Farsley Celtic midfielder Tyler Walton praised his time with Ultimate Football Coaching Academy.
Tyler joined the UFCA scholarship programmed aged 16, and now represents Farsley Celtic in National League North.
The midfielder has made over 50 appearances for the Leeds-based club, and explained how his time with UFCA enabled him to sign his first professional contract.
"The UFCA programme offer lots of opportunities for aspiring players.
"During my time there, we played against a lot of academies and professional clubs.
"We played against York City, and went to their training ground to play their reserve team.
"Their first-team manager was watching, and within two weeks I received a phone call saying he was impressed with me. "I went and did a trial with them and ended up signing my first professional contract there."
Walton explained how UFCA helped his development during a difficult time, both on and off the pitch.
"My best memories at UFCA was definitely winning the league," he said.
"The team we had was incredible - the players individually and collectively were a great group.
"I made a lot of friends, too.
"Most of my friends now are the people I met from my time at Ultimate Football Coaching Academy - and they are friends for life.
"UFCA do lots of professional coaching there, day-in and day-out - and the training is incredible.
"The programme itself was top-class, I loved it.
"We were training every single day so it was just like being at a professional club.
"I'm not the biggest fan of the schoolwork, but the support from UFCA staff and teachers at the school made it a lot more enjoyable and enabled me to leave with the qualifications I needed."
