Ultimate Football Coaching Academy are delighted to share that four players were invited to trial with Grimsby Town on Thursday afternoon.
Will Mitchell (Goalkeeper), Oliver Clarke (Midfielder), George Brown (Forward) and Oliver Rodriguez (Midfielder) were all invited to trial with The Mariners' Under 18s side.
Grimsby Town recently confirmed promotion back to EFL League Two, with victory Solihull Moors over in the National League Play-Off Final.
Founded in 1898, the club boast a rich history, and play their home fixtures at Blundell Park - a 9,000 capacity seated stadium.
Steve Hart commented: "We're really proud to see four of last season's Under 16s players invited to trial with Grimsby Town.
"All four players have worked incredibly hard throughout the season - so to trial with Grimsby Town is a much-deserved reward, which they have taken in their stride.
"The trial matches will have been a fantastic learning experience for them, enabling them to gain an understanding of the performance levels required to compete in a pro-club setup."
Isaiah Rankin commented: "After conversations with Grimsby Town coaches, they were keen to invite a number of players to trial with them.
"The boys played really well in the games, and did all of us at Ultimate Football Coaching Academy really proud.
"They showed that they are well capable of competing at pro-club level, and we hope they can use this experience to inspire them to keep working hard and progressing."
